The Government has signaled that all of New Zealand will be moving to the traffic light alert system on 11:59pm Thursday,2nd December.  This poses challenges for businesses to understand what this will mean for your business.

Under this system there will be Government mandated vaccine requirements for locations involving close contact such as hairdressers and beauty salons. Such mandates don’t only apply to staff with specific rules for customers but for visitors to the location such as representatives.

Likewise any business can choose to mandate vaccines to ensure safety in the workplace and this can include retailers where representatives or demonstrators might visit as part of the work role you require of them.

Then there will be differing alert levels of Red, Orange and Green which raises the need to understand how that will impact on a staff member (rep or otherwise) when they travel from one zone to another.

This webinar will be presented by Paul Jarvie Head of EMA Health and Safety and Matt Dearing EMA Head of Legal covering all of the thorny questions that arise from this system and vaccine mandates.
Find out:
  • What the rules will be?
  • What about your business and should you consider mandating?
  • What about your representatives or demonstrators entering those mandated locations?
  • What if your representative or demonstrator is not vaccinated and chooses not to be?
  • What can you do or should you when a staff member refuses to be vaccinated and they need to be able to enter a mandated location as a key part of their role?

This is a free Cosmetics NZ members webinar.
When: 2 December 2pm (This will be a MS Teams virtual event)
